The 525C-3 Wireless Mesh Access Point is housed in a sturdy enterprise- friendly IP 67 casing for use outdoors as an access point/ bridge or repeater. Its outdoor range is a minimum of 1400 feet un-boosted. It can also be used indoors.

This model incorporates 802.11a/b and 802.11g on both AP and bridging ports. 802.11g, like 802.11b, operates in the 2.4 GHz range. And it is backward-compatible with 802.11b, so that, if you already have an 802.11b network, you can smoothly transition. The 802.11a system operates in the 5GHz band for reduced interference.

What is the advantage? The 802.11g and 802.11a interfaces have a maximum rated speed of 54 Mbps. The Turbo A and Super G options provide up to 108 Mbps data rate. The 525C-3 employs WEP/WPA2/802.11i with 128-bit AES, the highest commercial security standard available. The 525C-3 will also detect rogue access points, to further protect your network from unauthorized access.

Management is easy with GUI WEB interface which allows you to add users to and remove users from the system.802.1Q/VLAN allows use of multiple SSIDs for varying service types over a common physical network. Finally, you have full use of Power-over- Ethernet, saving the time and unsightliness associated with power line cabling.
